Before this place was discovered,
I wrote the first review for this place and unfortunately my review got deleted a while back After My account was gone... nonetheless I will re-write a new review as I've been going here a few times and I will share my most recent experience!
Ambiance: it sure definitely changed since I was here the last time! It's more busier and way more people and much more busier from my last visit which I'm very happy to see. I'm glad people enjoy it as much as I do .. that way I know they won't be gone and I can come back as often as I can to enjoy their AMAZING AND DEEELICIOUS AUTHENTIC aghan cuisine.
Service: always consistent and superb service. The people behind the counter are super friendly and care to give their utmost best service! They are now running around with over 5-10 people in the kitchen as it's quite busy and they have many people working to get their food orders up.. fairly quick and quality is always there!
Food: It was THE MOST DELICIOUS meal I had in a while! We ordered many different meals as we both didn't want to cook tonight and felt like trying something different. I am obsessed with their Mantoo .. it's these savoury beef dumplings with an amazing sauce to die for it was Deeelicious. We tried their chicken soup for the first timee and boy was it bursting of flavour. I definitely recommend it when you come try the place out. The Lamb shank wow I wish there was more lamb as it was cooked so perfect.. it literally fell off the bone and it was amazingly tender.. left a mouth watering flavour in my mouth!!! Their rice , lamb, eggplant dish and everything probably on their menu is so rich in flavour I bet anything you try will leave a mark in your mouth!!! Ahaha
It's unique , authentic and really worth the price. It is pricey but common its so worth it and it's not as if you have to dish out over 500$ .. You can easily leave full with just 2 entrees their portions are Huge and generous.
Overall, my husband was really impressed when He tried it and we will definitely be back for more as the quality, service and food was A1 !! I definitely recommend this place for Real authentic Afghan cuisine .. you won't be disappointed!!! Cheers -

We were there a couple weeks ago. We found this place on yelp and it did not disappoint. The meat was fantastic and so moist! We loved it so much that we asked our server to let the chef know how good her food was. To which they were quite happy.

I came here based on the reviews but I was quite disappointed.
I'd like to start with the only positive factor: the meats are good, flavourful and tender.
The negative factors:
1. The cup we had was super dirty; like a dry grease stain on the cup where the lips meet.
2. The bread we received had a hair on it and the waitress picked it up from out plate to look at it closer and then put it on her tray.
3. She told us she was going to bring another one when our meat platter was going to come- they brought it out when we had finished our meal.
4. Their chicken soup is basically egg drop, some chicken pieces, swirl of soy sauce and lot of corn starch.
All this together makes me questions their cleanliness.
Yes the meat was good, but the negative factors outweigh the only positive one.
Will not be coming back. -

Great food but a little pricey. Shami Kabab, lamb shank and rice were all great. Soup , not so much. Quail tasted great but meat was a little tough. And the best and most affordable part was the naan. Good place to sit and eat with family.

Wow.... Totally blown away by this place.
In the city of Laval it's "chain restaurant" central according to my Yelp amigo Jason. Some of you out there may love the predictability of Boston Pizza, the Keg, Jack Astors or other mal ordinare places as such. I prefer to avoid chain restaurants where possible. There is a selection of some small business restos but on the whole I'd tend to agree that the selection in Laval has room for improvement. Please don't build more chains and if I was a kingpin mayor of Laval I'd encourage small business restaurants with tax incentives. Think "field of Dreams" if you build it they will come.
This place opened up this summer in the plaza across from Adonis. Damm...it is the real deal for Afghan food. I've eaten at Kyper Pass downtown and I'd declare this place better. Afghan food for those who have not tried it is somewhat similar to flavours of Indian but different. Also taking similarities to Lebanese or even Moroccan. For those who like to check out something different ethnically it's a refreshing change. Many meals are met and rice based.
On my visit I had selected the Chicken tandoori with rice that came with a salad as a starter plus a nice flatbread. The salad was fresh and had nice crispy lettuce with a mild creamy dressing. The flat bread (complimentary) was fluffy and light. Now to my tandoori chicken it was moist a bit oily but oivee mes Amis.....this was outstanding in flavour. With a heaping portion of rice I decided to not finish it. Or my boss would have found me sleeping on my desk in the afternoon. Dammmm..... Thinking about this food makes my mouth water like a Pavlovian dog. To wash it down I had selected a mint yoghurt drink which was different but fresh and tasty none the less.
Two things. - 1) I hope their portion size doesn't shrink over time as they get more popular
2) I hope this place does not get too crazy popular as we enjoy it a lot!
Fantastic food. If middle eastern is in your wheelhouse you will like Afghan food.
Restaurant was clean and service was very cordial. Thank you as Apu on TV from the Simpsons said "come again" definitely I will .
